I think of myself as logical person. Example: I couldn't find my keys when leaving the grocery store recently and remembered that on my way into the store, I threw out some garbage from my car and had my keys in the same hand. So naturally I went out front, lifted the lid and began sifting through garbage.
Assuming that the heavy keychain had caused my keys to sink to the bottom of the can, I curved my stomach over the can's edge and scrounged the deepest corners of the glad bag inside. After a few minutes of sifting through public trash with little results, I logically went to the front desk and asked someone to check the lost and found. If it hadn't been for this brilliant display of logic, I never would have found my keys.
Sure you say, my logic had been flawed since it forced me into garbage and had caused some mild embarrassment in front of the store patrons and staff. But somehow I came out of that smelly trash can a refreshed person. To my amazement, a stranger had found my keys and put them somewhere they knew I would be able to find them. My faith in humanity had been renewed, but man we really need to start recycling more.
